Well it would appear that I learned little from my week of capturing bluebells since today, on a visit to friends in St Albans, we were taken on a walk that encompassed no less than four bluebell woods.
As I have said before, I find photography to be a very solitary occupation, but you would have thought that after all that practice I would get a few decent shots. I have deleted every single one of them. I am happier with the ones I took on my early morning jaunt on Friday.
So here instead, is one from the local woods on Friday. As I post this, I am listening to the birdsong recording that I took on my phone and it takes me back to my little piece of heaven that started the weekend off.
I have done my best to catch up, but it all got a bit random and disjointed. So I do apologise if I have missed anyone out. Be assured that it is not deliberate. I'm just out of time again now.
I am the same, i take much better photos when i am on my own. i have a tiny patch of bluebells which i probably photograph each year as its such a novelty, but my partner grew up in England and still remembers trips to see the bluebells with his family.
Like the focus and beautiful dof here. I think some of us get more discerning with what shots we want to keep and post. Probably why i don't post much these days
Lovely photo with wonderful DOF. I do enjoy taking photos on my own...easier for me to concentrate on my shots...but I've never been on a "photo walk" with other photographers so that might be a productive experience compared to just being with friends or family members. :-)
Nice feel to it... such delicacy. I have all but given up trying to photograph when I'm out with people .. i can't do with considering anyone else as well!
As you said at the start of your bluebell week Helen they are such hard flowers to photograph! Such awkward shapes and angles and 'flow' to them.. I have tried a few times and given up. I am the same as you in that I take pictures on my own, but for me it's not out of choice... no one I know is as interested in it as I am so I am pretty boring company for most people as I obsess about photographing something this way that way etc etc
This is such a pretty image! So dreamy, and the thought of your bird songs really adds even more dreamy peace. Like you, I enjoy solitary photography best; but, admittedly, My husband does come up with good suggestions when he’s alongside me.
