Loch Ba by helenhall

Loch Ba

We acquired a little book entitled 40 Favourite walks on Mull and Iona and through the course of the week we attempted to follow a number of these.

Here at Loch Ba, at the very start of the walk, we took a wrong turn and some half an hour further on, found ourselves at a dead end where private land prevented us from continuing around the lake, so we retraced our steps for the first of what was to be several occasions when using our little book of walks.

But with perfect weather, pleasing scenery, birdlife to spot, the countryside to ourselves and long hours of light, what did it matter?

This is taken at one end of the loch, at a point where we rejoined the track that we should have taken in the first instance.
A lovely place for walking, it looks so peaceful.
