Festive at Sloane square

Having written practically an essay with apologies and thank yous to my dear 365 friends, with tales of Christmas festivities and resolutions for 2019, and being midway to concluding with a touch of reality regarding the season , - I subsequently spared you all from having to read it by lowering my right foot carelessly on to the power bank switch, and instantaneously wiping the random memory of my PC.

Had you had access to my random memory, you might have learned about the concert with Maddy Prior and the Carnival Band in Cadogan Hall at which I performed as part of a 'guest' choir. It was a fantastic kick-start to the Christmas festivities for me.

Given the uninvited chance for second thoughts, I hereby post this one and only image from December 2018 - all gratitude's, apologies, promises and good intentions may be missing but please do take them as read and I shall hope to still be here to post further in coming days.
I take them as read and also take the good proposition to keep any foot away from power bank switches, power chords and the like, at least before hitting the little magical "save" button... Happy 2019, Helen!

It really does look festive - love all the yellow light with the splashes of blue. Sounds like you've had a busy Christmas Helen. Hope you've had a little time to yourself too. Happy New Year to you and your family.

I'm full of admiration for you Helen... and envy too! Have you sang/performed on stage with others? I always await your work (and your comments) with interest and you don't disappoint. I'm sure you'll agree that learning that you need to be aware what your feet are doing while mind and other parts of the body are occupied is a valuable lesson! Still. I'm sorry I have been deprived of the pleasure of reading your essay!

@domenicododaro well thank you Domenico. Lesson learned - I hope. My very best wishes too, to you for 2019.
@flowerfairyann thank you Ann, the time for myself starts right here, but slips away so quickly. It has all been busy but worthwhile. My very best wishes go to you and your family too.
@pistache It is my every intention to keep at it - membership just renewed. Always pleased to raise a smile and I look forward to sharing 2019 with you in words and pictures.
@carolmw Thanks Carol. Soon it wont feel like night time at 4.30 in the afternoon - and that will be good!

@kali66 and the very best to you too Kali. Thank you. It is never quite the same recreating text from scratch - in everyone's benefit for me to cut my losses.
@yrhenwr your words are too kind David. Singing is a hobby of mine and the beauty of a choir is that it is so much more than the sum of the individual parts. It was a great thrill to sing in Cadogan Hall as the acoustics were good, and for once, we had enough room and light to see our music. It was the last night of the tour, and my good friend Andrew Watts heads up the Carnival Band, which made it extra special for me too. As for the lesson of my feet - I may have to move the power bank to be sure to avoid a repetition.
@Dawn thank you Dawn.

Your narrative made me smile. Hope you are able to take it easy over the holiday period. How exciting for you to sing in a choir. I sometimes wish I could sink. I sound more like a scalded cat though rather than a nightingale.
Sorry I missed your essay, but I do get the gist of it.
