A brief photoshoot with dead roses and a new vase which my brother bought for my Christmas present has saved the day today.
I was preparing a meal last night, and needed the dining table which was still scattered with things to be put away since Christmas. As I walked into the room, I realised that the roses which had been bought for me on New Year's eve were still sitting in the vase looking rather forlorn. Of course I was delighted. A photographic subject for today had suddenly presented itself.
Right. It is time to catch up. I have a little time, so here goes …..
you'd think that they should've dried up and crinkled by now but this one looks just a bit frail and a diagonal trim of its end stem, a soak in hot water for a minute then to a room temp water with some of that flower food powder, would probably put it back to life. too bad the colours are rather lovely.
