Slow Descent

I am backfilling - in the hope that one or two of the shots I managed to get on Saturday, but have not yet downloaded, may be suitable for posting. Using a couple of my less artistic and more nature based shots from the Sharpenhoe expedition. Spotted this snail crawling down the tree trunk whilst I was concentrating on a few ICM shots - and decided to take a closer look.
Hope he managed to reach the summit. We don't see snails in our garden, the kookaburras and blue tongue lizards eat them.

I like his vertical journey and the interesting texture on the surface.

Those shells must be quite cumbersome for them to have to take with them everywhere
