It just so happened that when I wondered why on earth I might want to post the one photograph I took today, that the phrase 'one swallow doesn't make a summer' came to mind. And this does seem appropriate as I have been sat with Dad watching the latest announcement from our prime minister indicating that we are now going back into full lockdown with COVID stats looking worse than they have ever been. His messages were so upbeat at the end of 2020, with the optimism regarding the new vaccine programme. But, Boris, you have now realised that the vaccine alone is not enough for where we are right now. We are not yet heading for Summer, winter is still upon us.
By the way, I took this, being rather amused to find Dad still using carbon copy paper to produce a copy of a hand wriitten letter to his newsagent. I had forgotton that such a thing existed. Of course, the familiar cc we all use to copy someone in on an email is an abbreviation derived from the carbon copy made using this paper. Apparently we always had a healthy supply in our house - not least because my father is the letter writter to end all letter writers, and apparently his sister worked in firm that made carbon copy paper.
Stay safe
I'm sorry about your full lockdown, and I do hope and pray for some relief from all of this soon. Please take good care of yourself. ♥
