Trying to see what my new lens is capable of. The automatic focus is not ideal for really close ups - a bit too noisy and doesn't always find focus. So I am practicing manual focus. This little bug on the moss is just about 2-3 mm long.
Good beginnings! Is this a macro lens? it might help if you use a tripod ideally or turn on image stabilisation. Is this a blue mint beetle, (Chrysolina coerulans)?
@marshwader i thought perhaps ot was a beetle fly but not really sure. My lens isnt really macro although it calls itself so. Will check up on image stabalisation setting.
