as I was taking a short cut home on a one lane dirt road about 3/4 mile from home, there were two guineafowl = they eat deer ticks - and one turned to me and said "Take my picture"
Retired educator - taught mathematics in high school, went back to graduate school, worked in research labs, and finally went back and taught computer science...
@webfoot Thank you Paul, people allow them to run free around here to keep down the tick population which seems to be working @scooter Thank you Scooter; deer ticks are the worst around here you will get Lyme's Disease from them. @pwallis Thank you Paula; normally they just ignore you, but when he lifted up his head I lifted up the camera and got the photo.
It sure did. One of the tradegies of my childhood was that my mom wouldn't let us have guinea hens on our farm. She didn't like them and I thought they were wonderful. I ended up with bantams instead so all was well. I love the way the fowl is looking at you. Great photo. And thanks for your kind words about my photos.
