I started some cleaning up today by taking 5 computers, monitors, keyboards, ... to Goodwill for recycling. That almost cut the computers in the house to half. Gail was very happy.
Retired educator - taught mathematics in high school, went back to graduate school, worked in research labs, and finally went back and taught computer science...
@kerristephens Thank you Kerri, I am glad they accept them for recycling @webfoot Thank you Paul, I am going to try and keep the nuber in single digits :) @maggiemae Thank you Maggie, having taught computer science in college I also tended to collect them but I knew I should recycle them and it made Gail happy :)
@sangwann Thank you Dione, I prefer giving stuff away so it can be reused :) @denisedaly Thank you Denise, I am trying :) @ruthmouch Thank you Ruth, I try to be environmentally friendly
Great pov and photo, Harry! I know how you must feel about this ... we tend to hang on to things. Didn't know that you were a computer science teacher .... what I wouldn't give to have your technical expertise!!
Oh it's broken, my first impression.
It's nice when you can recycle them so many places won't pick them when you dispose of them. Very nice candid shot & composition
@karenann Thank you Karen, worked in research labs, then started teaching at Stockton College in 1990 @kimmistephens Thank you Kimmi, still leaves us with 7, but 2 are Gail's :) @myhrhelper Thank you Kathy, 3 are still fully functional; Goodwill takes donations of used computers in West Bend there is one on Clarence Court.
Good for you, Harry! I have been putting off taking some things to Goodwill and books to the friends of the library for them to sale to raise money. We have several computers here also.
@chewyteeth Thank you Dave, I did have 12 and most work. I did computer science research in Bell Labs, Livermore Labs, and Grumman before teaching CS in Stockton College.
