1986 Spec Ed Life

Life magazine was founded in 1938 as "the first all-photographic American news magazine". This was the edition that showed the best photos during the first 50 years. In 1964, a Scottish photographer - Harry Benson [no relation] - was assigned to cover the Beatles first American tour. He is the most prolific of Life's photographers.

They all look so interesting and of great character. Probably had to wait a while till the right one came up or maybe he just snapped and snapped!

He is a cool guy Harry Benson, and a great snapper. Not so long since he was in a great documentary on telly here in Scotland.

@hjbenson It was called "When Harry Benson Met Albert Watson" , broadcast in March 2011 (I didn't think so long ago!). It was one of a series where two Scottish 'celebs' met and discussed their work and lives. This one was "The two Scottish photographers who both now live in New York spend a day together in the city." Fascinating :-)

@beachcomber149 Norman, Thanks for the reference, now I will try to find where I can see it.
