Back in the 1950s & 60s, the major industry here was egg production. This was the Demitroff's Feed Mill. By the 1970s almost all of the chicken farms had closed and the mill has gone through a series of other businesses — my favorite was when it was an antique store. Currently it is just being used as a warehouse.

Most small mills have gone by the wayside. At least this one still has a little life left in it. One of my dearest childhood friend's family owned our local mill. It was so much more than a place to buy meal or flour. It was a farmer supply, garden center (I still have a bird feeder I bought there the birds and squirrels enjoy every day), But oddly lots of people got married there. The owner was also a Justice of the Peace and it was right across the street from the Court House. So lots of people would get their license and just walk across the street to the mill to tie the knot. He wouldn't accept any pay for the service but kept a donation box to purchase a new organ for his church on his desk. I understand those donations paid for most of the huge pipe organ the church enjoyed for years, where music for my own wedding was played. Sorry to ramble... been quarantined too long!
