Cicada on the driveway

These cicadas have been very noisy all summer, but I think they are starting to die off. This one was barely moving when I took this photo with my cellphone.

@aikiuser They do have a row of eyes. Here's what I found: Cicadas have five eyes: Cicadas have two, obvious, large, compound eyes, and three ocelli. Ocelli are three jewel-like eyes situated between the two main, compound eyes of a cicada. We believe ocelli are used to detect light and darkness.
