Girls Day at the Range! by homeschoolmom

Girls Day at the Range!

Enjoyed the first really nice day we've had this spring by hitting our local gun range. Turned out to be a girls day at the range, because we were short on time (almost forgot a spaghetti dinner fundraiser we had tickets to). My husband and boys went back Sunday afternoon. There was another family there teaching their 20-something daughter to shoot, so we basically had 3 "girls" on the firing line (me, my daughter and this other girl). I was testing some new ammo. Not sure if shooting and and to the right was because of the new ammo, the wind blowing or because my laser sight had a dead battery.
And a pink grip!!!

Great shooting Lisa, not enough finger on the trigger, you are pulling right, but fine shooting all the same.

I would hate to see my target pattern.

@swilde pink grips, pink ear phones, pink camo case! LOL!
@sierranicole423 Thanks!
@sarasdadandmom That may have been the problem!
@digitalrn Hahaha! My husband and his friend (ex-Marine) went shooting one day. He was shooting his wife's Glock (she's a police officer), and he could hardly hit the target. He thought something was wrong with the gun. My husband picked it up and emptied the magazine into the center of the bullseye! LOL!

Fascinating. I've never even held a gun, and the young policeman I was snapped with didn't carry one either.

Good collage to show us your day. Had a go at my brother in laws gun club when in Canada one year. It was incredibly hard to hold it and shoot straight!

@ceilidh Wow, I can't imagine a policeman not carrying a gun. Course, guns are more a part of our culture here in America. My husband and I both have carry permits that will allow us to carry in most states, but not all. Sadly, the streets of America are not as safe as they should be.

@juliedduncan Thanks. You should have seen my 17-year-old daughter shooting our AR-15 rifle. She loved it.

@skippysue My husband is a stickler for safety and practice. If he could, he would take us to the range every weekend to practice. We have just been so busy this year and winter so harsh, that this is the first time I've gotten to the range since we moved to NH last summer.

@jennywren My gun is smaller, only a .380. So it fits my hand better and isn't as heavy as my husband's full-sized .45. It also has a laser to help you aim, but this day, my laser's battery was dead, so I was off a little. But, I first learned to shoot an M-16 in the military. Rifles are much heavier than my little pistol.
