@digitalrn This one isn't very heavy, but it's quite warm. The other night, we have a friend pass through the area and spend the night at our house. I realized that this was the only "normal" blanket we had that wasn't already on a bed. I don't think my boys' old superhero throws would work for a man who's 6'4! LOL!
@lynnilou Thanks! @joansmor I agree. I'm envious of their talent in making them. A skill I've always wanted to learn, but never had the time. @digitalrn I could have given him two, one for his legs and one for his upper body! LOL! @juliedduncan Thanks! @swilde Thanks! @olivetreeann It is. I have no idea how far it goes back, though. Probably belonged to one of my grandmothers. I know my maternal grandmother was a quilter.
I have had lessons and made a few quilts. I keep thinking when I retire I may get back into it. I am a hand quilter. Can't afford those fancy machines though I would love one.
@joansmor I think that if I ever get around to assembling the quilt pieces my grandmother made when I was born, I'll do it by hand also. I'm much better at sewing by hand then by machine! LOL! @skippysue@paulam Thanks!
