T is for turmeric, thyme, tomatoes, tortilla and turnips!

For Alphabet February, here's my Ts. Hummmm, maybe lunch for tomorrow?
That is a nice display. It's colorful and the arched placement leads my eye around to each item. The thyme looks like you got it fresh and dried it yourself. You're a letter ahead of me.

Way to get a bunch of "T" items all in one frame and all food too. Never short of clever ideas.

gosh. My favorite element of this picture is the turnips. They are seriously fabulous.

@randystreat @danette Thanks so much for the kind comments. No, it's just organic thyme from the grocery store. But, I use a lot of it, so it never has time to get old! LOL!
@nicknac Thanks so much for the FAV!
@quietpurplehaze @lesip @kwind @tonygig @nadaa @jensmalls @warrenzx9 @skippysue Thanks!
@francoise Now, if I could only figure out what to do with them! LOL! They came in a basket of vegetables I got nearly a month ago. I really need to eat them.
@pixiemac Thanks so much! If I had wall space I'd be tempted to do that! LOL!

@homeschoolmom boiled with butter always works (peel). I've heard you can roast them. I put one in the soup sometimes, but don't put too many in the pot or they'll take over the soup.

I am one of the few people I know in this world that likes turnips. I've never made them from scratch though. A pressure cooker is probably the easiest and fastest way to cook them. Wash, peel and dice. In a 4 qt. cooker put 1/2 c. water; 6 qt. 1 c. When the steam comes through the top and the rocker is hissing, cook for 3 to 5 minutes. Let cool for a couple minutes before you remove the top (and I always open it away from me just to be on the safe side). Serve with butter. And of course, enjoy! Good shot!

@francoise Thanks. I'll have to try that.
@olivetreeann If only I had a pressure cooker! LOL! That's probably faster than a microwave could cook them.
