Today we visited the Jamestown Settlement in Jamestown, Virginia. We learned a few very important lessons while there. 1. Socialism makes people starve to death (repeatedly) in the middle of an abundance of food. 2. Pocahontas was only age 10-12 when John Smith was in Jamestown, so they never had a romance, in spite of what the Disney movie says. This is one of the recreated boats on display on the James River in the Jamestown Settlement.
@hoosierhokie It was a very neat place. Learned a lot! @danette Both Jamestown Settlement and Historic Jamestown really hit that topic hard, so they are trying! LOL! @randystreat Thanks! @amandal I thought the same thing, since we saw that last year about this time.
