Even this tree is afraid of the spider!

Saw all these holes in this tree. Thought it looked like the "Scream" face. After taking the photo, I noticed the giant spider beside the mouth. As my husband went to touch it, it jumped lightning quick into the hole. Yikes! Big and fast, scary combination!

@sdutoit That would be my guess. Could have possibly been caused by some kind of insect, but the probably a woodpecker. The holes were pretty big.
