My older son tested for his black belt in taekwondo tonight. It was interesting to watch. His instructor would call out, "blue belt self defense step 3," and he'd have to do it. It was a lot to remember, especially since it was called out of order. I don't know how he remembered it all. He also had to demonstrate self defense techniques while being "attacked" by another black belt and various breaking techniques. He broke a 2 inch cinder block brick with his hand. His new belt will have his name embroidered on it, but won't be ready for about a month.
