So, today we drove 2.5 hours into Virginia to meet my sister and brother-in-law. My hubby and boys were supposed to go skiing this weekend and meet them Sunday on their way back, but that got rained out (plus it was too warm). We picked them up in Wythville and drove to Bluefield, WV, to dinner. Dinner was great and it was fun to get together. I gave her all the stuff I made for my niece (the flower quilt, afghan and burp cloths) plus a cute little baby dress and a book my daughter picked out. And, she gave me a 100-year-old quilt top that her mother-in-law had and a wool quilt top that my great-uncle made, so I can quilt them. Snapped these pics as we zipped up the interstate. It's rainy and foggy probably 4 out of 5 times we cross this mountain.
