Here’s the colour palette for my 2024 crochet temperature blanket.
I was going to use the same colour scheme as last year as I have so much yarn left over, but discovered the one colour I only have half a skein of (aqua) has been discontinued. After some debate, I decided I wanted more purple this year so have kicked lilac up a temperature slot & inserted violet. It does mean this year & last year’s blankets won’t be directly comparable, but on the other hand… purple. :)
@northy We work to one decimal place, so 2.0 is Frost Blue and 2.1 is Lake Blue. My little label printer has limited symbols. :)
I originally planned to a different palette this year, but I have so much yarn left over that I might as well go another year. I quite fancy doing one of the monochrome palettes at some point.
Are you going for a rainbow palette or something different?
Shades of grey…. Which is a bit limiting…. I just figured out this weekend a way I could’ve done actual colours without making myself crazy, but kind of committed at this point…. Other than still figuring out the distribution…
Global warming is making it weird…. And I didn’t spend enough time doing analysis on what the distribution was last year so mostly just guessing although I might spend some time looking into it tonight….
Then again…. I need this not to become a rabbit hole for me to get lost in…. I mean…. Does it really matter hugely at the end of the day if the point spreads aren’t even or if I screw up a day or whatever?
@northy Nope! Toni at TL Yarncrafts has a great video about temp blankets and one of her points is the bands don’t have to be even.
Just have fun with it.

(I picked out my colours but already recalibrating…. 😞)
