083 - The wedding that we attended yesterday was held at All Saints Church, Huntington, on the outskirts of York.
There is evidence of a church here from late Saxon times, some 900 years ago. Much of the church was rebuilt in the 1870s, including everything in this shot.
The location of this church is a little unusual, in that the old village centre was at the opposite side of the river, and despite much new building in this part of York, the area around the church is still largely rural.
It's a very friendly welcoming church, and the wedding service there was really enjoyable.
Thank you - and the sky is real - sooc!
Thank you. This is one of my favourite of the village churches around York.
Thank you, the church is built of magnesian limestone, as used in the minster, and it does make attractive clean looking buildings.
