St Pancras Station, London by if1

St Pancras Station, London

114 - Off on my travels to see my older daughter and her family, and the first leg of the journey was a Megabusplus service from York to London (Coach to East Midlands Parkway and train for the rest of the journey)

St Pancras Station has recently been renovated to accommodate Eurostar services through the Channel Tunnel, as well as domestic services to the Midlands and northwards.

The restoration is a masterpiece. A dark dismal station has been transformed into a place of light and beauty. It's also very busy, with the former cellars converted to a shopping mall, so lots of people making use of it.

This will soon also be one of the transport hubs for the Olympic Games, hence the addittion of the giant rings near the end wall.

Finally, I'm away for a few days, so I won't have much chance to comment on all your photos - I will work hard on catching up with you when I get back home. In the meantime I will at least try and post a shot each day so you can see what I'm up to
Well have a lovely time away, Ian.
