174 - This year is the 800th anniversary of the city of York being granted a royal charter, so during the course of the year there have been a variety of special events.
One of the events planned for earlier in the summer was a river pageant, with a flotilla of boats, but due to flooding it was postponed to this weekend and it became part of the Paralympic Lantern weekend.
Boats large and small took place, and here are a few examples of the variety of craft involved.
