OK, I give in, here's the inevitable rain on window shot!
204 - This poem sums up this weeks weather in York quite well, though I believe it was originally written by a group of ramblers:
'It rained and it rained and it rained and it rained;
the average fall was well maintained,
and when the tracks were simply bogs,
it started raining cats and dogs.
After a drought of half an hour
we had a most refreshing shower,
and then the most curious thing of all:
a gentle rain began to fall.
Next day was also fairly dry,
save for the deluge from the sky,
which wetted the party to the skin,
and after that the rain set in.
We wondered what's the next we'd get
As sure as fate we got more wet
But soon we'll have a change again
And we shall have a drop of rain.'
Thank you Pyrrhula - I expected to get a shot of drops on the window, but by the time I got the camera huge amounts of water just flowed down the glass because the rain was so heavy.
Thank you Caren - this shot was a great excuse to stay in out of the rain!
Thank you Ruth - I was surprised how many versions of the poem there are.
Thank you Bob - we could send you some water - we have far too much here now!

Thank you Junan, glad you like it!
Thank you Tanja - we've had far more rain than we need all summer, and now 3 days of really heavy rain. You can see the effect now on http://365project.org/if1/365/2012-09-26, and there is a shot of the floods earlier in the year at http://365project.org/if1/365/2012-04-28, http://365project.org/if1/365/2012-04-30 and http://365project.org/if1/365/2012-06-24
Thank you Lizzy - the shot was a good excuse to avoid going out in the rain!
Thank you Brian - I certainly can!
Thank you Louise - the shapes don't look much like rose bushes, a car, a tree and a house do they?
Thank you Howard - this shot was a good excuse not to go out in the rain!
Thank you Netkonnexion - it was going to be a raindrop on glass shot until the rain got too heavy!
Thank you Jen - glad you like them both!
Glad to hear you finally got some rain! - If you need more, we have streets full of water here!
