Hughenden Valley by if1

Hughenden Valley

277 - While my grandson was at school, my daughter and grandaughter were at Zumba class and my son in law at work, I took the opportunity to explore more of the beautiful countrside north of High Wycombe.

Here, from the west side of the Hugenden Valley, near Hughenden Manor, the view is north-east over the lovely St Michael and All Angels Church towards the farmland beyond.

A short but thoroughly enjoyable walk, but very icy and muddy underfoot.
Nice contryside

Pastoral! Unbelievable you can take pictures like this when we're totally covered with snow.

Wonderful shot Ian. Did you take any of the Manor. The reason I ask is because we have a small village here in Alberta that was established in 1909 and namec by one of the railway officials Hughenden. He named it after Hughenden Manor.

:) I went to that church from age 6-18 when I went to uni. Many many happy memories. Such a beautiful shot of a lovely place. It nestles so nicely into the hill.
