277 - While my grandson was at school, my daughter and grandaughter were at Zumba class and my son in law at work, I took the opportunity to explore more of the beautiful countrside north of High Wycombe.
Here, from the west side of the Hugenden Valley, near Hughenden Manor, the view is north-east over the lovely St Michael and All Angels Church towards the farmland beyond.
A short but thoroughly enjoyable walk, but very icy and muddy underfoot.
Wonderful shot Ian. Did you take any of the Manor. The reason I ask is because we have a small village here in Alberta that was established in 1909 and namec by one of the railway officials Hughenden. He named it after Hughenden Manor.
Thank you Tara, and thank you for the fav. This is a beautiful valley, and there are benches near where I took this so I was able to sit and have a break freom my walk, and just absorb the view.
:) I went to that church from age 6-18 when I went to uni. Many many happy memories. Such a beautiful shot of a lovely place. It nestles so nicely into the hill.
Thank you Heather, I agree, it's a beautiful spot. I would have loved to look in the church, but sadly time was against me. Perhaps on my next visit I might get change.

Thank you Marie, it was a lovely place to explore.
Thank you Malin, there had been some snow on the higher ground, but the sun made this part of the valley quite warm
Thank you Brian - that was an interesting coincidence. See http://365project.org/if1/365/2012-12-08 for the Manor
Thank you Bob - sadly I didn't have time to investigate the church. Perhaps on a future visit I will be able to.
Thank you Therese, and thank you for the fav!
Thank you Judith - it was pleasantly warm in the shelter of the valley too, although on the hilltop it was rather windy.
Thank you Tara, and thank you for the fav. This is a beautiful valley, and there are benches near where I took this so I was able to sit and have a break freom my walk, and just absorb the view.

Thank you Kd, but sadly I don't live near here, my daughter does, and I'm only here for a few days. It is a lovely place.
Thank you Roslyn - it is a very beautiful valley.
