313 - It's amazing how different the sky is from minute to minute and day to day. Here, shortly before sunset, there are highlighted bands of cloud, but towards the bottom of the image a wall of thicker cloud.
It seems unlikely that this is the cloud bringing the promised snow - the latest forecast is that snow won't arrive here until Monday.
The low cloud looks like a sea of soft marshmallow. Is your shot B&W or is that the natural colour of the sky?
I was hoping that the snow will hold off until Wednesday as that is our jan2013 word for the 16th and it is much nicer when it is newly fallen
fab capture ~ love the low and high clouds here ~ I woke up excited expecting the snow only find drizzle :( ... I so want to make a mini snowman and take a photo LOL ... Monday here too apparently
Thank you Sebastien - I hadn't even noticed the bird when I took the shot, and when I did, the sky had lost much of it's beauty so too late to try again.
