Praciticing violin

Usually after practicing piano, Yelena straight away practices her violin. So I had the opportunity to take 2 sets of photos. She chose this one and I like that you see the movement in her hand.

In 6th grade Yelena chose to start with violin for school. Due to the fact she plays the piano she learned fast and loved playing in the orchestra at school.
We first rented a violin, but when we moved she got the instrument for her birthday.

However, with all activities in a new school it stayed in its case most of the time.

Due to the pandemic and no extra curricular activities, she had time to start with lessons again.
At this side of the world they like the graded exams and at the moment she is working on ABRSM grade 5 pieces.

Lovely shot. Violin is one of the instruments I love most. Before this pandemic I used to attend orchestra concerts whenever I could. Well done to Yelena and I wish her luck. Unfortunately for me I do not have an ear for playing music and when I tried learning the guitar I gave up disheartened.
