It is Demyan's last weekend here and he decided that he wanted to camp. You can basically camp anywhere you want in Oman, as long as it is not too close to where people live.
Two years ago we went to a little beach and were the only ones there. When we arrived yesterday, it was busy... Every 10 meters or so there was a family. Not a place we wanted to stay.
So we drove a little further, and found this beach. No sand and not a tree or anything to cover our little tents. We had a late lunch there and decided to drive back home.
My husband, who hates camping stayed with the dogs and was very surprised to see us return so early...
Anyway, we had a little trip and even an adventure to get to this beach, so that was OK.
I'm also tagging for people relaxing as this family (mom and dad are in the tent, when I took the picture) were on a day trip.
I think the parents were packing the food/supplies inside the tent whilst the kids still had great fun playing with the pebbles. They left shortly after I took this picture.
the pebbly and stony beaches are almost always deserted. we used to find the odd fishing dhow but mostly no one would be about. great place to meditate or just be. aces on this shot!
