Bottle

Thought I'd better take some new photos, sun was shining through the window at tea time so I put one of my favourite bottles on the sill. I did take some film shots too but still no Internet so it'll have to wait . Cropped the bottle in the right - thought it made a stronger composition

So, so creative. I've got no end of bottle shots (mine are decanters, but same kind of difference), but I've never thought of taking them from above.

I think, seeing it, I would have cropped tighter on the bottle bottom right (to just over a quarter of the neck opening), but I love this as it is, too.

I uploaded this when our internet was off so I couldn't reply but just to say I liked your idea of cropping - I think it takes a lot of courage to suggest something different and I saw your comment but couldn't reply but wanted you to know that I think you're totally spot on !! :)

@ingrid2101 :-) Thanks. Sometimes (rarely) I see things in others' photos that I'd do differently. They're only ever suggestions though, based on what I'd do. And let's face it, I get a lot of experience in cropping, because my photos rarely come out as I intend!
