The shop at Bangour Village was most definately shut. All the windows were boarded up. I have seen some talk on the internet that the prices are still inside but there was no way to get in. It would be fantastic if they could do tours.
Back up the A9 yesterday after packing up my son's flat - he's home from uni for a while and it was a lovely drive.
Some great news, my husband ( mech. Engineer - yeah ) fixed my camera. Not too much damage but he took some bits off and cleaned it and fixed it and it's working again. Thankfully i'd never go anywhere with just one camera however this place was screaming out for b&w with caffenol dev. Next time. Off to get more photos done now - loads of catching up to do on here, haven't been on the internet much.

Sweet. Another advantage of those old camera's is they are tough, and often fixable if you are willing to give it a go. Repaired a few of mine, wouldn't even consider doing that with a digital
@gwhit123 It was used in a psychological thriller called The Jacket - haven't seen it but maybe will now ! @pflaume Thank you Lisa - I'm so happy about camera too !! :) @gailmmeek So Tempting Gail - the last ward closed in 2004. It has security patrolling in vans 24/7. They drive slowly past and are friendly but it's a bit spooky, cool but spooky. @carolinedreams Thank you Caroline I'd love to get in too! It's wonderful to have my son home - his younger brother and sister are just delighted ! Happy days :)
