The first paper negative I did last night- far too overexposed - it developed so quickly you can see the tide marks! Will have to use a smaller apperture, I think this was about 12 or so and this old camera can go really small. Must really write down what I do as I can never remember and curse myself later. I would like to get out and about doing this but it's handy practicing at home as I can develop it straight away and see what the results are.
Wow! Going for a paper negative is taking it to extremes, isn't it? :o) Love the tide marks - I really think that they give the photograph something different.
I wish I could give more educated comments on your shots, but I know absolutely nothing about all these amazing things you're doing... I just totally admire all the efforts you make and am always so impressed. :) Love this!
I agree with Paul -- the marks add character. and the different levels of development make you really see the photo and somehow make it multi-dimentional. I just love the look of paper. Fave! I keep faving and I think my faves are becoming meaningless. Hard to know what to do with all your awesome photos!
@vase Carla - thank you, I do know what you mean but your faves are very much appreciated :) I feel the same way sometimes - I just see your work and go oooooo fav!!
@gailmmeek Thank you so much Gail, it's just paper instead of film - huge learning curve I'm on and your comments are very much appreciated - thank you !
@jayholm64 Everything Jay!! So many ideas going on at the moment - the beauty of using paper is the ridiculously low ISO so you can do really long exposures- I like the idea of having people moving. I also like the roughness and texture and think derelict buildings would do well with this :)
