window with ivy

getting behind again and so busy. This is one from the abandoned cottage I visited recently. Only finished scanning the film tonight. I have cropped this as the top was so dark. Although it's 400 asa it was still really too slow for the darkness of the interior - nearly everything was half a second

I love the contrast between the upper panes and the lower open window. I agree with Nestor, very exquisite

Really atmospheric - there's a feeling of a dark cold interior.

Love this. Feels like I'm trapped in a tumble down house with nature taking over outside.

I like diff betwixt upper and lower frames

A fairytale cottage, with a distinct sense of foreboding. Lovely lighting and mood!

i love the colours in this.the foliage through the open part of the window contrasts nicely with the darkness of leaves against the glass. this seems very balanced composition-wise, not sure if that's the right word, it just sits right (to my eyes) .

I don't shoot indoors (although maybe I should try) cause my film isn't fast enough (generally poundshop 200asa). are you using a tripod or do you have very still hands?

@spookydirt Thanks Andrew, I don't usually shoot indoors either and this was probably the only one that metered about 1/60th because of the light but I did it at 1/30th. I generally don 't bother with a tripod which was stupid- didn't even think. My hands are steady ish but not for 1/2 sec!

@ingrid2101 I'm trying to shoot sunny16 now - leaving the meter at home - I'd have probably messed up this kind of shot. Starting to see the point of lenses going lower than f2.8 now.

Very emotive shot. Something about window views like this for me. Wonderful light, tones, and textures. FAV

Fantastic lighting and texture. Very thought provoking and the image has an isolated feel to it. Well done.
