Loads of practice going to be neede for this technique. Inked too quickly and too much but I was impatient
I printed out some of these last night - on bromide paper.
This is a quick how to.I made a bromoil solution of Potassium Dichromate, Potassium Bromide and Copper Sulphate, added water to 1 litre - this keeps for years. Mix some with water - about 20%. Add the print to this in a tray and the image will fade and turn greeny yellow. I refixed this, washed and super dried! ( Hairdryer to get it crispy dry). Then it's soaked in water for 10 mins before inking. Having done some printmaking I wasn't as fazed as I would have been a few years ago. It works on the principle of the Silver halides being hardened at different levels, then when the paper is resoaked it retains moisture more in the white(unhardened areas) than the black. Using an oil based ink means the ink will be repelled where there is more water...blah blah blah. Well done if you read this far. My recipe and instructions were taken from a book called Spirits of Salts but here is a link to give a better explanation http://www.alternativephotography.com/wp/processes/bromoils/making-a-bromoil-print
I thought the tin had black ink but it was blue
