oh dear, a whole new learning curve. I bought a digital camera a couple of months ago and ran out of excuses for not using it... but it was annoying me too as I'm usually excited about a new camera, what kind of film etc etc. I knew this was a new world and I know exactly what I want from digital - however I haven't got a clue how to get there. I've been reading / watching tutorials but realised I had to get out and just try. This was using a welding glass as a filter, about 28 second exposure and edited (! ha) in lightroom. I'm going to try and get used to that before I try silver efex etc. My head hurts
edit :after uploading I noticed the date on the exif..why?do i need to reset something on the camera. This is a refurbished XE1 from Fuji
I use Silver Efex much less after LR5 came out (and now LR6).
Eric Kim has some great presets you might like (which ironically are for LR4 but I'm still using them - http://erickimphotography.com/blog/2012/04/17/15-free-lightroom-4-presets-for-street-photography/ )
Love how moody this pic is btw. Really looking forward to seeing how you get on with it.
