dinner at Mexicantown Restaurant tonight and a short walk to show the ladies the pedestrian bridge. I am not sure if anyone knows exactly how long we have been going out together for breakfast at first now dinners once a month. Our children went to school together and it all started there as none of us live in the same neighborhood. It was a private school so it draws from all areas. Definitely at least 15 years probably more. It is our monthly dose of laughter to help with sanity, sadly we lost a friend this year to lymphoma after an eight year battle but the rest of us still continue the time together. very blessed. : )
@californialover I think we all worry about our children making new friends when we move and we do not think of ourselves as adults and the changes we will go through. We are expected to know how to handle it but it is just as difficult if not more so for us to make friends. I think we have less avenues to us for that purpose. The kids have school as a pool of new friends. For us it comes a little slower : )
That is great that you still get together. I have a group of girl friends, that I meet once a year for dinner. We laugh until we cry. We lost one of the group to lung and breast cancer about 7 years ago, but the rest of us still me. Nice portrait to remember your get togethers by.
