White Strelitzia

Seen in the park of Malaga. I liked the light because it shows the heat!

I thought this was the flower of a banana tree. But after I read your comments I changed it.
But I have a question now. Are strelitzia’s growing to be higher than 2 meters?

@jacqbb oh yes some varieties grow huge. they do get called wild banana, but they are not related to the banana. this one looks like Strelitzia nicolai and they grow to at least 6 m and the clumps can spread for many metres too. @ludwigsdiana had some banana flowers recently I think - they are quite different :)
