Thanks so very much for your kind comments about my photo of the little island with a house. I took this last month on a tour we took from Alexandria Bay in upstate NY of the St. Lawrence River. Your comments gave me insight. I realized that it looks similar to the photos of flooding that have been in the news lately; so no, no flooding. I also realized that it is probably a place that is rented out for a fun place to stay the night as it would be very hard to actually live there. Our "Thousand Island" tour guide told us that to be designated an island the land must have a tree.
