I originally planned on photographing the yellow motel sign against the deep blue later afternoon sky.Pretty straightforward shot. But when I pushed the button it did not work right. I mean, yes I had a photo, but I wanted something better.
Having my new iPhone 6s means that Hipstamatic is now running lightning fast. So I switched from the ProCam 3 app to Hipstamatic, set the camera to shuffle settings after every shot and started looking around. I shot the motel through the fence and noticed the double fencing in part of it. The random setting on Hipstamatic turned it black and white and I knew I had my image for the day.
