2021-03-21 - Cuervo NM polaroids

I used my dad's old Polaroid SX-70 land camera for a few frames while visiting the ghost town. I am less than impressed with the new film from Polaroid. At US$3 per shot I expected bit more. This is a flatbed scan and I increased the contrast and corrected the color a little bit, so the originals look even worse.
I think they're terrific! Looks like film - not digital and that's the difference I can see. The film has some nice tones. Love the bare trees. Check Peter de Graff's posts. He uses only film.

What an interesting place to visit. I imagine you could have filled an entire album with shots of this place.

Wow $3 a shot. It makes you appreciate digital cameras. Love the top left pic with the cactus.

I dunno, there's something very charming about the "lo-fi" films such as Polaroid that I enjoy. I do understand your frustration, though. Nice job with the scan/edits, I like the series
