The FAA is trying to make us pay a monthly subscription fee to private companies in order to have them track our flights, and we will have to pay for cellular service to connect to the tracking company. Rather than a safety issue, this sounds like a way to funnel money from a hobby into some company's pockets. Tell me - just how many aircraft am I in danger of encountering at 200 feet, and how many cellular towers do they think we can connect to?
