For the Gerhard Richter comp I have based my photo on some of his later work. Mine is a combination of two of the gumnut shots and the leaf/collograph shot used previously. I've mainly used the blur tool and blending modes to obtain my result, but Richter would have used paint on a huge canvas (or board) and a very large squeegee.
