Mystic River Bascule Bridge by jernst1779

Mystic River Bascule Bridge

It was fun to see this drawbridge open and close. Those huge concrete counterweights help lift the bridge up to let boats on the Mystic River go through. Built in 1922, it connects two parts of Mystic, Connecticut and leads in to the part of Main Street that is filled with shops and restaurants.
How cool and amazing!
