2nd book of 2016! Excellent first novel by Vanessa Diffenbaugh! It captured me from the get-go and kept me entwined with the characters and the story all the way through. I truly didn’t want to put it down. She has a wonderful way of writing that makes the characters so real that you feel that they are part of your life. I loved them, hated them, was disappointed in them, cried with them, laughed with them, was worried about them and in the end, wanted the very best for them. In the process of the story, I also learned a lot about Foster Youth and the system that they live through and age out of… Heartbreaking! I also found the language of flowers fascinating. I don’t think I will ever look at flowers the same way. I put it on my “Must Read” list!
