9th Book of 2017! Italy during WWII... All of the books about WWII are from the German, French, or Polish perspective. This is a true tale of an Italian hero, Pino Lella, and his accounts of the war. From leading Jews thru the Alps to Switzerland, to driving for Hitler's left hand man, it's an AMAZING tale of his escapades, the love that he found, and the atrocities that he witnessed. It probably could have been done in half the pages but, none the less, a story that had to be told. The author did him justice.
