12th book of 2012… An uplifting story about a little girl whose life is changed when she is diagnosed with leprosy and taken away from her family to live on Moloka’i. A truly uplifting account of how a group of people who were banished to a remote place found a way to live their lives with beauty and harmony. The author did a great job using fictional characters to tell the nonfictional history of an island and it’s people. GREAT read!
