Who knows what data this "poll" is based on.

Yes, abstract art is the most popular! It makes good wall art that coordinates with interior designs! I do lots of abstract imagery in photography and paint portraits realistically! I can do some abstract too!!!

LOL Joe - you've gone ( by choice with your new purchase) from the top of the list to the bottom!!

Too much info for me....I just do my thing :).

Tough if you are trying to make a living off your art. You end up chasing trends and sometimes it sucks all the joy out of the process. I'd say don't worry about that and do your own thing but then I'm not the one having to come up with your rent at the end of the month.

- I feel bad for some artists absorbing any of these information.Sadly, Art industry is all about making money,so discouraging. I know,it’s a trend and they have to make money to earn more.I guess just keep moving forward in your own chosen language.just create what inspires you,not what a gallery says will sell..I appreciate and love good abstract art( painting or photography)though I believe different varieties within the art world,is a wonderful thing.!

Spot on, Joe.

Oh no, for sure. I agree with the previous comments to keep doing what you enjoy, though. Thanks for liking my recent attempts at landscape photography. I hope you enjoy your new lens, and look forward to seeing your results!

As long as you are enoying what you are doing who cares about percentages. Your pictures are always fascinating.

The stats are right - the PI Fine Art Gallery carries my work and the best sellers are usually the abstract kind - http://picreativeart.com/gp_artist/peter-dulis/

Fascinating! Luckily I'm not into sales. Ha ha! Good luck, Joe! ;)

Interesting. The one I'd pick is at the bottom, too. 😲😄 Enjoy your new lens.

You can also use the wide-angle lens in abstraction.
