Our neighbors behind our house had an old, large tree taken out today. It used to cast a really nice dappled shade in our backyard in the evenings and provided some privacy. We'll miss it for sure.
I grabbed this shot on my phone while watching them work today. I spent some time walking around a neighborhood ravine with my camera in the evening but didn't manage to make any more compelling photos than this one.
I like how the bright neon color of the umbrella and the arrow formed by the roof on the bottom right edge of the picture draw you towards the crane operator. My eyes then move up the crane, and down to the tree. It's at this point that I really notice the tree is dangling in the air.
