We spent most of today armed with very large levers, pivots and a sledge-hammer breaking up and moving very large sarson stones (with the help of a sack truck) from the back garden. As they were too heavy to lift into a skip (arriving Thursday) we decided to arrange them as a 'feature' around the side of the house as it was only a gravelled area anyway.
