We had to replace one of the arches that I made a couple of years ago as it became extremely loose due to the recent high winds. This time I increased the size of the uprights and cross pieces to 3" with 2' trellis on sides and top. Plus 20" into the ground with concrete poured in too. If it blows down again - I will dig it up and use it for kindling! All we need to do now is hope that the rose and honeysuckle that I had to cut back to release the old one will grow again in the Spring.
