I went out with the express intention of getting some night-time shots in a nearby village/town. This turned out to be the liveliest place! This is three shots merged in software. The reddish tint to the tarmac is from the sodium light under which I am standing.

Clever! I have not mastered photo editing software beyond cropping and lightening and darkening!

Nice, is that HDR you are talking about? I've read about it but not sure yet how to go about it.

@carolscho Hi Carol, thanks for your comment. It isn't HDR but I did take three photos at different exposure times which made them all slightly different. I then just used PaintShop Pro to blend them together. I must admit I was quite pleased with my first attempts at it.
